Ted and Bob partnership a proven success

08 Feb, 2012 10:17 AM
Last Wednesday bowls saw 16 players roll up.

The best bowlers on the day were Ted Roberts and Bob Wilson.

Runners up were Jack Charlton and Trevor Elemes.

The jackpot of $120 was not won, while Frank Rowe cleaned up by winning the meat raffle and getting Michael Smith’s trim up.

It’s on again today, names are to be in by

1pm.

Newcomers are welcome with bowls available.

Should Wednesday be a washout, bowls will be played Thursdays instead and not Tuesday as printed in last week’s edition as I don’t think on Tuesday we would know if Wednesday would be a washout.

Only six bowlers played on Sunday with Mick Wall, Charlie Morley and Linda Rainey defeating Dot Heath, Bonnie Fletcher, Deralle Maxfield.

There were not enough bowlers for a game on Friday night unless better supported it will be cancelled.

There will be social bowls mixed bowls next Sunday morning names by 9am, 9.30am start.

Please support their games if you want this club to go ahead.

Nominations for the men’s fours and triples will be extended until Saturday February 11, due to the lack of enough entries to date.

Should there not be more entries, these events may not go ahead.

Please get your teams together.
