The team of Jack Charlton, Rob Harvey, Trevor Elemes and Bob Wilson defeated Keith O’Grady, Len Matthews, Trevor Messenger and Terry Dray 18- 17 in a very close finish.
After 11 ends, Bob led 14-5. Terry then fought back to be 17 all after 20 ends with Bob scoring a one on the last end for the win.
Wednesday saw 16 bowlers play with the final of the fours taking a few players away from our normal Wednesday.
Pat Cassidy and Terry Jackson won the day with Malcolm McLeod and Allan Manning next best.
Michael Smith’s haircut was not on and the jackpot of $100 was not won.
Bill Meharg was the raffle winner.
It’s on again today with names in by 1pm for 1.30pm start.
Two games of triples were played last Saturday with Rob Harvey, Trevor Elemes and Bob Wilson defeating Jack Charlton, Gary King and Kevin Stanley 20-16.
Allan Manning, Bill Meharg and Terry Jackson defeated John Dewar, Ron Oxenham and Roger Simpson 25-16.
The draw for the men’s singles will be done with games to start on Saturday April 14.
The rule play or forfeit will apply.
The draw for the pairs will close over the Easter weekend with play to start shortly after that.
