Greens full in pennant trial

01 Feb, 2012 01:12 PM
It was great to see both greens full on Sunday for pennant trials between West Dubbo, Molong and Wellington with 96 bowlers playing.

Thank to Anthony Brown from West Dubbo for arranging this.

Wellington’s grade 7 results against West Dubbo saw Bill Meharg’s team draw with B Jones 17 all. Roger Simpson’s side lost to M Everett’s 12 to 20.

Richard Carpenter’s side lost to D Russell’s, 17 to 27. West Dubbo won 64 to 46.

In the Grade 5’s, Peter Baker’s side lost to D Cooper’s 15 to 16, Terry Dray’s team won against J Hodge’s group 25 to 10 and Bob Wilson’s team lost to T Bartlett’s 10 to 13.

Wellington won 50 to 39.

Terry Dray’s side scored half of our total.

Last Wednesday’s bowls was a washout but is back on today with names in by 1pm for 1.30pm. In the future, should Wednesday be washed out, it will be played on Tuesday.

The Sunday morning Mufti Bowls will be on again with names in by 9am.

Friday night bowls will be on this week if enough bowlers roll up. Names are to be in by 6pm.
