03 Sep 10 | Rod McMahon and Matt Shephard won the Barmen’s Trophy with 41 and 35 respectively. Runners-up were Gary Cusack 34 and Kevin Athanasiou 35.

27 Aug 10 | Numbers returned to Wellington last Saturday to compete in the four ball aggregate stableford event sponsored by Ben McCarthy and Luke Brydon.
23 Aug 10 | The annual charity day was held for the Wellington Hospital Auxiliary and 19 players teed of for a ransom event.
20 Aug 10 | Creativity on the part of the committee came into play before play at Wellington last Saturday. Sponsored by David Williams, the individual stableford was confined to the nine holes above the road due to the bottom nine being flooded the day before.
Golfers brave bitter winds for title
16 Aug 10 | Wednesday saw keen golfers tee off for the last round of the foursomes championships.
Reid takes out August monthly medal
13 Aug 10 | Good numbers returned to Wellington last Saturday to contest the August Monthly Medal, which was sponsored by Bernard Smith and Col Arnold.
09 Aug 10 | A foggy morning brought out very brave golfers to play in the Foursomes Championships. Our sense of humour was a little frayed around the edges by the time the 18th hole was played.
06 Aug 10 | A keen bunch of 33 weather watchers sloshed around the Wellington Golf Course on Saturday and with rain forecast for the entire day the course resembled William Wallace’s backyard in Scotland (Braveheart). But the sunshine broke through mid-afternoon and a great day was had by all except the boys who won the Bradman Trophy with 36 points (bugger).
Rose Bowl trip enjoyed by all
02 Aug 10 | Six ladies travelled to Wanaaring on July 18 for the Far West Rose Bowl sand green competition. A very enjoyable weekend was had by all. The trip on the dirt road was glorious and passing through plenty of wetlands, lakes and water birds meant we were in awe of the great scenery.
Irwin, Cusack combine to win golf day
23 Jul 10 | David Burke Building sponsored last Saturday’s individual stableford at Wellington which was held in conjunction with round four of the Barmen’s Trophy.
19 Jul 10 | Our annual 3BBB versus par event was well supported with eight teams. Three ladies teed-off in what was quite a bleak day, but it did get better.
Hannelly leads big field home to win event
16 Jul 10 | Not everyone’s cup of tea yet big numbers turned out for last Saturday’s par event.
12 Jul 10 | With the promise of a lovely day, 22 women teed-off for our annual Quota Charity Day.
12 Jul 10 | Bathurstian Peter Shepherd headed the charge of his kin to take out the A Grade competition at Bathurst Golf Club last Monday with a massive 41 points. In B grade Richard Stazecki, also from Bathurst, took out the honours with 40 points.
McCarthy leads big field home in A grade
09 Jul 10 | No visitors but an impressive winter roll-up at Wellington last Saturday in the individual stroke event sponsored by John and Russell Gersbach. The July monthly medal was played as well as round three of the matchplay championships.
05 Jul 10 | We had 26 women who deserve a medal for their dedication to their sport after teeing-off in one of the biggest frosts we have had in the area in a very long time for the 27-hole Coronation Cup stroke event. Winner of the Coronation Cup was up-and-coming player Janelle Frappell, with a nett 107.
Countback needed to determine winner
02 Jul 10 | Last week’s four ball aggregate event was won on a countback by Rod McMahon and Russell Gersbach with 69 points. Also with 69 were runners-up Ben McCarthy and David Ryan and Gary Holding and Peter Cornish.
28 Jun 10 | Last Monday at the Kikuyu Country Club, Wellington veterans experienced in the art of kikuyu golf shone with Brian Kelly from the similarly grassed Dubbo course winning A Grade with 42 points.
Thrilling finish to championship
28 Jun 10 | It was an exciting finish to the championships on such a lovely day.
