The Rod Hampstead Electrical Darts Challenge played round two of its competition last Monday night with some interesting results.

Round two saw the Wellington Hotel Hot Heads take on the Central Hotel Old Boys in a very hard-fought contest.
The night did not start well for the Hot Heads as the Old Boys got off to the perfect start, taking out both doubles games to hold an early advantage. The singles were shared two games each.
With Old Boys listed first: Garth Watts lost to Brett Rich 0-2, Eugene Spicer def James Mason 2-1, Graham Kent lost to Nathan Martin 0-2, Dave Wilson def Andrew Davies 2-1, the teams game went to the Central Hotel Old Boys for them to finish off the night with a five games to two victory.
The Sparkees were up against the Wellington Hotel with the Sparkees flexing all their muscle to show that even at this early stage of the competition they are not going to surrender their title easily.
They took out both doubles games as well as three of the four singles games. Peter Watson def Peter Fitzsimmons 2-0, Rod Hampstead lost to Mick Griffith 0-2, Mick Connelly def Teena Hill 2-0, Ken Fairley def Zac 2-0. They also won the teams game to finish with a six games to one victory.
The surprise packets of the competition, the Grand Legends, ventured to the Wellington Bowling Club to take on the TePee Pink Ladies.

a flying start by winning the
first five games before the
Pink Ladies knew what had hit them.
Singles results were: Alan Brown def Wendy Wilson 2-0, Shane Mitchell def Doreen Saunders 2-0, Ian Smith def Colleen Curry 2-1, James Connelly lost to Beck Poole 0-2.
The Grand Legends took out the teams game to finish the night with a six games to one win, which keeps them on top of the table.
Federal Hotel hosted the South’s Wellington Hotel which were one player short but put up a great effort to go down narrowly.
Federal Hotel started the night well by winning both of the doubles games only to see the South’s Wellington Hotel come back and win three of the singles.
Mal Nunn def Jan, James Smith def Mal, Chris won on forfeit, Margie Mills def Les Dwyer.
It all came down to the teams game with the Federal Hotel getting the extra shot. That was all it took to get them over the line to record a four games to three win.
