The first round of the Rod Hampstead Electrical Darts Challenge was played last Monday night, with only two matches being contested.

The Cee-Cee’s will now be called the TePee Pink Ladies and they are still playing out of the Wellington Bowling Club.
Round one saw the Wellington Hotel Hot Heads take on the Cee-Cee’s in a very hard fought tussle even though the final result did not reflect that.
The Wellington Hotel Hot Heads won both of the doubles and all of the singles to take a commanding lead.

The girls finally had a bit of luck in the teams game and recorded a win.
The final result was Wellington Hotel Hot Heads 6 games to 1.
Sparkees was up against the Souths Wellington Hotel in what turned out to be a very one-sided match.
The Sparkees took out both doubles games as well as all four singles games. Peter Watson def Geoff Wyatt 2-0, Mick Connelly def Margie Mills 2-1, Rod Hampstead def James Smith 2-0, Ken Fairley def Mal Nunn 2-0.
Souths Wellington Hotel took out the teams game to get on the score sheet. The final result was a six games to one win to the Sparkees and it looks like another long year for Souths.
The last two matches were forfeits to the Grand Legends from the Wellington Hotel and to the Central Hotel Old Boys from the Federal Hotel - they both picked up the maximum points.

The lowest score in the Rod Hampstead Electrical Darts Challenge last week went to James Smith with a score of 1, and yes, he did throw all 3 darts.
TePee Ladies top score for the week was Margie Mills with 116 and the highest peg was four by Colleen Curry.
