Swift Street gets revamp

10 Feb, 2012 08:52 AM
Cr Shirley Drysdale has been an advocate for the reconstruction of the Swift Street plaza and Council workers are working behind a large fence in view of the public.

Cr Drysdale says it’s good to see the project get started and that she has responded to a number of residents and ratepayer questions about the progress of the long-awaited reconstruction.

“Is it likely to take the nine weeks we’re being told,” she said after speaking to Council’s Technical Services director Owen Johns.

Mr Johns said weather permitting all will go according to plan.
