This year, the Wellington Times has teamed up with a number of local businesses to create a shopping promotion which is too good to resist.

Wellington Times advertising consultant Gizela Mezes said the festive competition offered residents who shopped locally a chance to go into the running to win some fabulous prizes.

“This year’s promotion is better than ever,” Ms Mezes said.

“The first major prize consists of a desirable Shogun dining table along with six chairs, and three cushioned bar stools supplied by Home and Office Furniture, valued at $1500.

“The second prize on offer is a five-night holiday for two people at the Harbour Side at South Port on the Gold Coast*.”

The Santa Spree promotion, now in its fourth year, was introduced to help boost local productivity and to

help encourage locals to do their Christmas shopping locally.

The promotion is a great incentive for both customers and business owners in the weeks leading up to Christmas, according to Ms Mezes.

“It has proved to be very valuable for the community as it helps to bring people together at Christmas,” she said.

The Wellington Times will also be giving out loads of great prizes to lucky customers of local businesses during the promotion.

To be eligible to win prizes, all you have to do is spend money at one of the participating outlets and put your entry form into the box provided at the store before December 16.
