Using pen and paper to find clarity in your goals was part of a talk titled Three Keys to Confidence presented by personal coach Kerrie Phipps.
Wellington Council hosted the Networking Luncheon for Women in Business which attracted a number of locals who listened to Ms Phipps’ advice.
“I spoke about how journaling can provide clarity of thought and ‘connect the dots’ in your thought processes, leading to increased confidence in achieving your goals,” Ms Phipps said.
Hailing from Dubbo, Ms Phipps is a personal coach and author. Her first book, Create the Life Journal, was published in 2008 and her second book Lifting the Lid on Quiet Achievers – Success Stories of Regional Entrepreneurs will be launched across Australia and New Zealand early next year.
Wellington Council’s administration officer Justine Williams, who helped to organise the event, said she was pleased with the outcome.
“From the feedback we received on the day, the ladies who attended really enjoyed Kerrie’s talk and got a lot out of what she had to say,” Mrs Williams said.
“We find the lunches are very popular as a means to network with others in business in the Wellington region.”
Natalie Puchert of Healing Solutions was one of the women who attended the event.
She said she found it very interesting.
“I got a lot out of the talk and found it very informative and inspiring,” Ms Puchert said.
“As a sole trader, being able to connect with other women in the region was fantastic.”
